M4 junction 15 to A419 then onto A4259	following signposts to Coate and Coate Water Country Park 50 acres to explore - cafe open Saturday and Sundays and every day through school holidays, picnic areas.
M4 twixt junction 15 or 16 on A4361 Swindon to Devizes	Avebury Stone Circles Pay and display car park. Dogs on leads in stone circle and estate. The Ridgeway National trail and cycle paths NCR4 and 45 pass through the property and are shared with walkers. Refreshments available.	OSE 173 grid ref SU 102 699
M4 junction 17 to Devizes on A4 / A342	Kennet and Avon Canal which again is part of the NCR4 cycle trail. Follow brown signposts to Caen Hill Locks. Pay and display car park. Refreshments.	OSL 173 grid ref SU 005 615

M4 junction 16 A361	Lydiard Park, cafe, toilets, car parking. Surfaced paths and trails through woodlands, and formal parkland.
Technically in Gloucestershire but close to M4 junction 18 then A46 and A433	Westonbirt - The National Arboretum, Forestry Commission and very dog friendly(all those trees !) as they hold Dog Days. Admission charges apply, Forest shop, plant centre and Maples Restaurant.
